I have good news for those of you who have been thinking about going to the Oregon Zoo. From now until the end of September, the Oregon Zoo is running a buy-one-get-one ticket free promotion. The BOGO admission is only valid on weekdays after 2 pm when zoo visitors ask for the “Zoo After 2” summer discount at the gate. This promotion is in addition to their monthly $4 second Tuesday promotion.
The zoo normally closes at 7 pm (gates close at 6 pm) in the summer. However, the zoo stays open until 8:30 pm (gates close at 8 pm) during Sunset at the Zoo. The event features live music and family activities all around the zoo’s shady 64 acres. Visitors can enjoy the zoo after hours, meet animals from the zoo’s popular Wildlife Live program presented by Portland General Electric, and visit the Family Farm for hands-on experiences with pygora goats and a variety of small animals.
Sunset at the Zoo offers families a chance to not only enjoy a meal together outside, but in a place where the kids can visit the animals and run around to expend some energy. The next Sunset at the Zoo event is August 20th. This is also the last one of the year.
