The Oregonian is running a special — $1 a week for their weekend package (includes Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays). Naturally, there’s a catch. The special $1 per week price is good for only the first 24 four weeks. After that, you will be billed $2 a week for the next 16 weeks. When that period is over, you will be charged the normal weekend home-delivery rate of $3.25 per week.
The promotion ties in with their newly redesigned Homes & Gardens section, which has been moved to Saturday to better sync up with weekend warriors. Brilliant move.
BTW, the special $1 rate promotion expires September 30, 2011. The offer is limited to new subscribers who have not had home delivery of The Oregonian within the last 30 days. It’s also limited to the counties of Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, Yamhill, North Marion (Aurora, Woodburn and Donald), Columbia (Scappoose and St. Helens), and Clark County (Washington).
