Columbia Pictures is taking The Equalizer to the big screen. Their new movie is based on the 80’s TV series about a former covert operations officer who helps people in need. The big screen version stars Denzel Washington as the main character (Robert McCall). The Equalizer opens in theaters on September 26th. You can see an early screening of the film on Wednesday, September 24th at Regal Bridgeport at 7pm by downloading tickets on the Sony Screenings site. Note: the tickets are first come, first serve. Let me know if the tickets are all gone and I’ll see if I can get the studio to add more tickets. I’m not guaranteeing they will add more tickets, so you should sign up as soon as possible.
The Equalizer Synopsis
In The Equalizer, Denzel Washington plays McCall, a man who believes he has put his mysterious past behind him and dedicated himself to beginning a new, quiet life. But when McCall meets Teri (Chloë Grace Moretz), a young girl under the control of ultra-violent Russian gangsters, he can’t stand idly by — he has to help her. Armed with hidden skills that allow him to serve vengeance against anyone who would brutalize the helpless, McCall comes out of his self-imposed retirement and finds his desire for justice reawakened. If someone has a problem, if the odds are stacked against them, if they have nowhere else to turn, McCall will help. He is The Equalizer.
